Netflix Announces Production On New True-Crime Mini-Series

It’s been super difficult to keep up with Netflix lately. They literally have new shows coming out every day now, it’s incredible. One of their best shows of the last year, though, was The Keepers, a true-crime mini-series in the same breath as Serial or Making A Murderer.

Now, the entertainment icon has announced a new mini-series in the true-crime world — The Alcàsser Murders — which will begin production this week.

The Alcàsser Murders is Netflix’ first original Spanish documentary series but looks to have global appeal. The story, one that focuses on a triple-murder in 1992, is fascinating. With the way we gobble up true-crime these days, I imagine Americans will be binging right along with subtitles (or dubbing).

Per the official release from Netflix, the series will release globally in 2019 with Ramón Campos serving as executive producer.

The Unresolved Podcast did a series about the murders in 2017. You can listen here.
