Villanova: Jay Wright Cuddles With Dog at Phillies ‘Bark at the Park’ Night

On May 25th, the Philadelphia Phillies were the latest team to show their love for dogs with a “Bark at the Park” night at Citizens Bank Park. Although they wound up losing 6-5 to the Toronto Blue Jays, one of their cities’ favorite stars made an appearance with his beloved canine — Villanova Wildcats’ head coach Jay Wright.

Over the course of the last three years, Villanova Wildcats’ head coach Jay Wright has won 103 games, four combined Big East regular season and tournament titles, and two NCAA National Championships. All the while, he’s done so as one of the good-guys in college basketball. One thing that a lot of people don’t see on his resume, though, is that of “Devoted ‘Bark at the Park’ Antendee”.

I say this, of course, because this wasn’t the first time Wright was spotted at a Phillies’ ‘Bark at the Park’ night. He was also spotted in 2015 by the fine folks at MLB.com’s CUT4. That makes two confirmed appearances, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he brings his golden retriever every time the Phillies run the promotion.
