5 Eligible 2020 HBO Hard Knocks Teams & Who Should Get the Nod
Every year, HBO’s Hard Knocks helps football fans get through an otherwise dull NFL preseason. The Oakland Raiders and all of Antonio Brown‘s drama was featured last year, preceded by Hue Jackson, Baker Mayfield and the rest of the circus that is the Cleveland Browns. Who’s next? We don’t quite know yet, but we do know who’s eligible to get some extra shine.
5 teams eligible for the next season of Hard Knocks, per For The Win.
- Jacksonville Jaguars
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Denver Broncos
- Arizona Cardinals
- Detroit Lions
Definitely going to pass on old-school Pittsburgh, irrelevant Jacksonville, and Vic Fangio’s Denver Broncos, leaving us with the Arizona Cardinals and Detroit Lions. Thanks to Kyler Murray and their young, hot-shot head coach Kliff Kingsbury, the Cardinals are the best choice. Butttt, they were on Amazon Prime’s version of Hard Knocks a few years ago, so I’m saying the Lions are the team to roll with. My reasoning behind that decision is simple: we’ll finally get to see what Matt Patricia is all about. He’s a Bill Belichick disciple and had his team playing good football before Matthew Stafford went down this year. On the flip side, reports came out after his first season that he wasn’t completely buttoned up. We have to see the footage to find out for ourselves!

The NFL exempts teams who have appeared on the show in the last 10 years, have a first-year head coach or were in the playoffs in the last two seasons, according to FTW.
