Got their first win after Charlie Strong switched to dual-threat freshman QB Jordan McCloud.

#9: Tulsa (1-2) (84)

One of the most penalized teams in college football. Rank #129 with 12.3 penalties/game.

#8: Navy (2-0) (67)

Haven’t played anyone yet but their defense has allowed just 17 points in two games.

#7: Cincinnati (2-1) (42)

Season-opening win vs. UCLA has lost its luster. Group of RBs may be the best in AAC.

#6: Houston (1-2) (43)

Hung tight with #4 Oklahoma (49-31) and #19 Washington State (31-24). One of the best 1-2 teams.

#5: Tulane (2-1) (39)

Their defense is legit this year, holding opponents — including #10 Auburn — to 14.6 ppg.

#4: SMU (3-0) (40)

Former Texas starting QB Shane Buechele has offense humming. First real test (at #25 TCU) comes this week.

#3: Temple (2-0) (45)

Knocked off #21 Maryland last week. Veteran O-Line may be the best in the AAC.

#2: Memphis (3-0) (31)

Beat Ole Miss to start the season. ASU transfer QB Brady White averaging 10 yards/attempt.

The class of the AAC. Haven’t lost a regular-season game since November 26th, 2016.
