Best & Worst College Football Teams Against the Spread (2021)
Before we head into bowl season, let’s take a quick look at how teams did against the spread. To many people’s surprise, Michigan was the clear-cut best team against the number this year, only failing to cover twice in 13 tries. Other teams had impressive seasons ATS as well, like Oregon State; despite only going 7-5 overall, they went a perfect 6-0 on their home field. They were the only FBS team to finish undefeated.
On the flip side, New Mexico took the cake for the least friendly team to bet on. A lot of folks in Albuquerque had some tough Saturdays. They went 0-6 at home, the only team to go winless, and an FBS-worst 1-11 overall.
