Bij Lincs and Asher Roth Team Up For Annual Ash Wednesday Release
This year’s Ash Wednesday was different than most, landing smack dab on Valentine’s Day. But, what stayed the same was Asher Roth’s annual release of a new jam, coming in hot over a Bij Lincs production.
He’s been doing these releases for years, dubbing the event Hash Wednesday in honor of his media hub, RetroHash. Last year, he released “More or Less”, following it up with the more simply-named “Ash Wednesday ’18” this time around. So far it’s received rave reviews from the Hip-Hop blogs, pulling in the highest grade possible (Very Hottttt) by both the editors and users of Hot New Hip Hop.
As well as a fire verse, the artwork by Parsa Afsharjavan (@parsino) also deserves a big thumbs up.
Roth is getting ready to release an album with Oren Yoel in March. They have two singles out already, each of them pop-heavy and extremely catchy. As we detailed in our profile on Roth earlier this year, he hopes to do another album heavy on hip-hop in the near future.
