Carmelo Anthony Will Wear #00 For Trail Blazers
Carmelo Anthony made No. 15 famous as the star of Syracuse’s 2003 national championship and the Denver Nuggets. He then went to New York and sold a trillion No. 7 Knicks jerseys during his seven-year stint in the Big Apple. Melo kept No. 7 during his lone season in OKC and his month with the Houston Rockets. Now a member of the Portland Trail Blazers, he won’t use No. 15 or No. 7. Instead, he’ll follow in Enes Kanter‘s footsteps and rock a No. 00 Blazers jersey, per an official Blazers press release.
Anthony and his new number will be on display tonight as the future Hall of Famer is going to be active for the first time against the New Orleans Pelicans.
