Cast of Netflix’s “Ozark” Will Be Lifetime LeBron James Fans
If you love Netflix’s “Ozark,” you’re not alone; NBA superstar LeBron James is right there with you.
For whatever reason, some critics don’t like Ozark, the hit show from Netflix starring Jason Bateman. The first season of Ozark, despite being extremely entertaining and watchable, only has a 68-percent Rotten Tomatoes rating. The second season, released just a few weeks ago, is ironically just one point higher at 69 percent. And while I don’t agree with the writer from the Salt Lake Tribune who referred to the show as “unoriginal and tired,” critics are allowed to be, well, critical.
Luckily, the real influencers are not critics. Instead, celebrities with big followings draw people to things they deem worthy. Jeff Pearlman, a writer with several New York Times best-selling books, recently acknowledged this precise fact in our recent interview (listen here). So while Bateman and the rest of the Ozark gang probably don’t like bad reviews, they know that it’s not the end of the world.
Having said that, the show got as big an endorsement as you can get three weeks after the second season dropped.
Man I can’t wait for Season 3 of #OZARK!! @batemanjason is incredible as well as the rest of the family Laura Linney @SofiaHublitz @skylargaertner “The Byrde’s”. Also love “Ruth” played by Julia Garner. She’s a gangsta! Great cast all around period!!

LeBron James didn’t just endorse the show…he REALLY endorsed the show. If you’re on the Ozark team, you will have to be a LeBron James fan from now until the end of time. I mean, the guy gave a shoutout to actors, actresses, and even called for another season! (The show hasn’t been officially greenlit for a third season but I’m 100-percent sure it will be.)
Of course, when LeBron calls, you answer.
I'm glad I was sitting when I saw this. My day is made. Or, month. Thanks, King. https://t.co/hML4xms7ky

This is just a great story, isn’t it? And it also helps LeBron’s imagine, in my opinion. He’s obviously larger than life but it’s nice to know he watches Netflix like the rest of us. It definitely humanized him a bit.
Oh yeah, LeBron, Julia Garner is unquestionably a gangsta!
