Colin Cowherd, Baker Mayfield Continue Trading Slights

After the Cleveland Browns lost a heartbreaker to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 17, Colin Cowherd, as usual, was quick to share his thoughts on Baker Mayfield. Cowherd, who has a long, entertaining history with Baker, said Mayfield had “the best three pick, 23 of 42, losing effort, all season” — and tagged him.

Not a huge zinger, just a little, funny slight from Colin. It’s also one that Baker will definitely read, like the tweet Baker dished out on Christmas that slighted Colin.

The two started beefing in the lead up to the NFL Draft, with Colin knocking Baker’s off-field antics, then escalated to extraordinary heights when Cowherd hosted the No. 1 pick on his show. See below: it’s radio/television gold.

With the recent slights, however, it seems like their relationship isn’t too bad. Honestly, I think at this point they’re just saying each other’s name because the public loves it. Regardless of their true feelings, I hope it doesn’t slow down — they have the oddest, most amazing beef in the sports world.

Baker, for the record, set the record for touchdown passes by a rookie with 27 this year. Cowherd, to his credit, keeps getting bigger and bigger and was nominated for several sports media awards this year.
