Colts, Titans Get Final Sunday Night Football Game
The schedule for Week 17 in the NFL is finally set, with the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans getting the nod for the final Sunday Night Football game on NBC.
Every year, the NFL waits for Week 16 to finish before scheduling their Week 17 Sunday Night Football game. When they figure out which game has the biggest playoff implications, they flex it in. And as the final weekend of football approaches, the NFL officially set the Sunday Night Football flex game, as well as the kickoff times for the rest of the lineup.
Tennessee will host Indianapolis on SNF in what essentially amounts to a playoff game. If Houston wins earlier in the day (1pm vs. Jacksonville), the winner makes the postseason as an AFC Wild Card team. If the Texans lose, however, the winner of Colts-Titans will be the AFC South champion. The loser of Colts-Titans goes home empty-handed.
Kickoff for Colts-Titans will be at 8:20 P.M ET with NBC on the broadcast.
There’s also an abnormal number of late afternoon games, in my opinion, for Week 17. You can check out the entire schedule below:
