Condolences Pour in For Carley McCord, Plane Crash Victims
Five people perished in a small plane crash on Saturday in Lafayette, Louisiana, including Carley McCord, a sports reporter from New Orleans who is also the daughter-in-law of LSU offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger. McCord was en route to see LSU play Oklahoma in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl in Atlanta, Georgia.
The other passengers killed include Robert Vaughn Crisp (59), Gretchen D. Vincent (51), and Michael Walker Vincent (15). The pilot, Ian Biggs (51), was also killed, and Stephen Wade Berzas (37), another passenger, is in critical condition, according to the Lafayette Fire Department.

McCord had been active on social media in the hours leading up to the crash, and condolences have since poured in on her page and by way of individual tweets. They’re very sad to read and it’s clear she was a well-liked and respected reporter and friend to many.
