D’Angelo Russell Dropped 30 in the First Half on Saturday Night

UPDATE: D’Angelo Russell finished the game with 35 points in Golden State’s 141-121 loss to Dallas.

If things continue the way they went in the first half, D’Angelo Russell should have himself another 50-point game, or maybe even his first 60-point game. D-Lo went for 30 points in the first half of the Warriors game against Dallas on Saturday, going 8-for-11 from beyond the arc and 11-for-15 overall. Golden State leads Dallas 74-72 at halftime, so yeah, this baby doesn’t have much defense going on.

Before this year, Russell had never had a 50-point game to his credit. Then, in just his sixth game with his new team, the former No.2 pick went for 52 points against Minnesota on November 8th.

Although the Warriors are dealing with injuries and have been mostly pitiful for the first few months, they’re on a four-game winning streak that could reach five if they top the Mavs. Russell is their go-to guy, averaging 26.5 points per game during their winning streak and a team-best 22.7 points per game for the season as a whole.
