Doug Gottlieb GOES IN on Jalen Rose Celtics/Kyrie Assessment

Today on The Herd with Colin Cowherd, Colin had Doug Gottlieb on to talk about several NBA topics. One of them, Kyrie Irving and the Celtics, got Gottlieb super fired up, so much that he had to drag his former employer (ESPN) and co-worker (Jalen Rose) into the conversation.

So…apparently Boston was never a pace-and-space team? I don’t know, I’m not going to get into the X’s and O’s but both guys should know what they’re talking about, maybe they just see it differently.

What we all can agree on is that Kyrie Irving isn’t playing well. His defense, to me, is what’s really been awful, and it’s affecting the whole team. On several occasions last night, the collective was soooo lazy on D, literally just letting the Bucks trot down the lane without incident. No one wanted to move their feet, it was a total swipe-fest. They need to be tougher and grittier…like the Celtics are supposed to be.

With all that said, I don’t think Kyrie is long for the program in Boston.
