Former QB Gus Farwell Buzzing After Balcony Opera Performances
Former Arizona State quarterback Gus Farwell got a ton of cheers from the crowd on Sunday, but it wasn’t for anything football related. Farwell, now living in Barcelona, performed opera to the streets of the city for 65 days straight. The people loved it, and even if you’re not a fan of the genre, you can appreciate his talent. You can see the last two performances below.

All the performances have reinvigorated the former quarterback. Speaking to The Athletic, he went into detail.
βIβm working on new pieces for the first time in a long time,β Farwell said about an hour before his evening performance. βAnd it just feels good. It just feels right. Itβs coming from the right place. Itβs not about me at all. Itβs about this community. And the way people are reacting β¦ β
He also spoke with the Pac-12 Network.
For the 11-win 1996 Arizona State Sun Devils, Farwell completed 2-of-4 passes for 16 yards. The team, led by Jake Plummer, finished the season rank #4 in the nation, losing in the Rose Bowl to Ohio State.
