George Mason Basketball Beats Dayton, Now 6-1 in Atlantic 10
On Wednesday evening in Dayton, OH, the George Mason basketball team continued their fine play with a four-point victory over the Atlantic 10’s best team, the Dayton Flyers.
With four seconds left to play, former Virginia Cavalier Jarred Reuter iced things for George Mason (12-8, 6-1) by hitting two free throws to go up 67-63 and put the game out of reach for Dayton (12-7, 4-2). Reuter, who scored a team-high 14 points, was one of three George Mason players in double figures; Otis Livingston II (13 points) and Justin Kier (12 points) were the others.
It’s clear the George Mason basketball team is really starting to become a complete unit; everyone who starts or checks in off the bench does their part, and you never see them bickering or portraying negative attitudes. Plus, they only turned the ball over eight times against Dayton, another nod towards their discipline and coachability, while forcing 15 on the defensive end.
