George Mason: Jarred Reuter to Forgo His Final Season of Eligibility
When George Mason began the 2018-19 basketball season, they returned all of their scoring from the previous season and added capable players like freshman Jordan Miller and Virginia transfer Jarred Reuter. This coming season, however, the team is losing some of their most important players from ’18-’19, some who still have eligibility remaining.
We already knew about Otis Livingston II (graduating) and Jaire Grayer (grad transfer) but today, Reuter was added to the list of players from this past year who won’t be around next season. Per a release from the team, the big man “will graduate this spring and forgo his final season of eligibility to pursue pro opportunities.”

In his lone season with Mason, Reuter played in all 33 games, starting 30 of them. On 10 different occasions, he scored in double figures, highlighted by a career-high 24 against NC Central (who made the NCAA Tournament) in non-conference play. Down the stretch, he dealt with injury issues, forcing him to come off the bench in the team’s final three games.
Overall, he averaged 7.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game for the Patriots.
Reuter, had he stayed at UVA, would have been a senior on their national championship team.
