George Mason’s Jason Douglas-Stanley Enters Transfer Portal
UPDATE: Douglas-Stanley announced he’d be transferring to Manhattan, not far from where he went to high school.
College basketball games are canceled but the transfer portal is alive and well. There was a mass exodus from Wichita State and the local teams are going through it as well. George Mason guard Jason Douglas-Stanley announced on his Instagram that he’d be entering the transfer portal.

Douglas-Stanley, a Mount Vernon, NY product, chose George Mason over nine other schools, according to Rivals. Other schools offering Douglas-Stanley out of high school include Drexel, Manhattan, New Mexico, and fellow A-10 school St. Bonaventure.
In two season, JDS went in and out of head coach Dave Paulsen’s rotation. He had a nine-game stretch last season where he averaged 13.6 minutes per game but this season he only played 10+ minutes twice. Overall, he scored 61 points for Mason in 39 games while shooting just 21.8 percent from the field.
