Highlights & Twitter Shoutouts From Melo Blazers Debut
Carmelo Anthony made his Blazers debut on Tuesday night, scoring 10 points in 24 minutes. Portland lost 115-104 but it was still nice seeing the future Hall of Famer back in action.
Wearing No. 00, Melo started at forward for the Blazers alongside Rodney Hood, Hassan Whiteside, Anfernee Simons, and CJ McCollum. It was an event to say the least and it promptly sent NBA Twitter into a tizzy. Several prominent current and former players tweeted love in Melo’s direction, including friends LeBron James and Dwyane Wade.
So damn Happy for my brother @carmeloanthony!!!! Just saw him warming up for the game on the TV and it made me smiled. Back at it Champ! Good luck 🙏🏾💪🏾👑 #007

Melo shot 4-for-14 from the floor but went 2-for-3 from beyond the arc. It will take some time for him to totally get back in the swing of things, and his game-worst minus-20 point differential proves as much.
“To be honest, I thought he looked good,” Portland head coach Terry Stotts said via ESPN. “For having a morning shootaround, I thought it was pretty good.”
