J.J. Watt Awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Baylor University
Despite being a super nerdy guy, Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt is an incredible human.
J.J. Watt took on the task of raising money for the relief effort to help with the damage cause by Hurricane Harvey in Houston.
People donated in droves, and the end result was a staggering $37 million.
It was so mind-blowingly incredible that Sports Illustrated named him Sportsperson of the Year for 2017.
On Tuesday night, he received yet another honor for his philanthropical work.
Baylor’s School of Medicine awarded him an honorary doctorate degree.

In a speech at the ceremony, J.J. Watt hit both peaks of inspiration and pure corniness.
Help be that positive light, help be that person that everyone wants to be around, and help be that energy that takes this world into a better place. Because if we all do a little bit, we all do our part, we can truly change the world one person at a time.
Never change, J.J.
For better or worse, never change.
