Jalen Hurts Will Rock #2 in Philly
Even though only one quarterback was taken in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, it was loaded with big names. Not surprisingly, the QB taken was, in fact, the biggest splash of Day Two. The Philadelphia Eagles took Jalen Hurts at #53, shocking everyone because, of course, they already have a young stud signal-caller.
Hurts, who will likely play as a rookie in some sort of hybrid role (Taysom Hill-ish?), made his own splash on social media by way of announcing his jersey number. Rather than rocking #1, as he did at Oklahoma, the explosive talent will revert back to #2, the digit he flaunted in Tuscaloosa as Alabama’s starting quarterback.

At ‘Bama, Hurts put up 71 touchdowns in three seasons (48 passing, 23 rushing) while throwing just 12 picks. After moving on to Oklahoma for his final season, Hurts finished second in Heisman Trophy voting after a 52-touchdown season with the Sooners.
