Joe Flacco Links Up With Jets, Per Report
It seems the Joe Flacco-QB1 era is over. Flacco, who spent 2019 as the Broncos starter before getting waived in March, is joining up with the New York Jets, per Adam Schefter.
Joe Flacco’s 1-year deal with the Jets is worth $1.5 million that with incentives can bring it to $4.5 million, per source. https://t.co/VDrmdz4yfM

The move makes sense as the Jets need a legit back-up behind Sam Darnold and there’s some history between Flacco and the Jets front office. Their GM, Joe Douglas, was with Baltimore for over a decade, including when they took the sturdy quarterback with the 18th pick in 2008. And, as a Super Bowl MVP, there’s plenty he can do in meetings and behind the scenes to help Darnold.
Per Schefter, the deal is for one year and worth up to $4.5 million after incentives ($1.5 million base).
As the Broncos QB1 last year, Flacco went 2-6 as a starter and was frequently criticized for his inability to push the ball down the field.
Flacco is so bad he won’t throw it down the field during the prevent. Horrible.
