Virginia alum Joe Harris had a game-high 28 points to lead Brooklyn to a 122-109 win over Philadelphia. Harris was 11-for-19 from the floor, including 6-of-9 from beyond the arc. He also added six rebounds and four assists.

Harris’ 28 points was also a season-high, and the most he’s scored in a single game since March 25, 2018.

Brooklyn was extremely shorthanded for the game against the NBA’s best team; Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving both missed the game. Durant missed his second straight game due to the NBA’s COVID-19 protocols while Kyrie Irving was out due to personal reasons. Irving also won’t be going on Brooklyn’s upcoming road trip. According to reports, Irving “just didn’t want to play.”

Harris is now averaging 15 points per game this season for Brooklyn (5-4). The Nets will be back in action tonight at Memphis (8:00 p.m. ET).
