Jonathan Simmons Breaks Under Bettors Hearts With Late Bucket

If I told you the 76ers would only score 89 points in Game 5, you’d say under, for sure. But those who bet the under 212.5 on Tuesday night had their hearts broken and their bankroll squashed a bit.

Jonathan Simmons, playing pure garbage-time minutes, buried a bucket late in Game 5 to ruin the under…and consequently, cash a bunch of over tickets. It would’ve been nice if Brent Musburger was on the call; he definitely would have acknowledged the significance of a totally insignificant bucket.

In other news, the 76ers are all but done. They have zero momentum going back to Philly and Ben Simmons is challenging Kyrie for the Most Disappointing Player in a Second Round Series award. Looks like we’ll have a Toronto-Milwaukee matchup in the Eastern Conference Finals.
