K-State WR Phillip Brooks Had an Insane Day Returning Punts
Either Kansas has some serious issues on their punt return coverage or K-State returner Phillip Brooks is one of a kind. During K-State’s 55-14 win over the rival Jayhawks, Brooks returned four punts and EVERY SINGLE ONE went for 40 or more yards.
Phillip Brooks punt returns vs. Kansas:
#1: 55-yard return touchdown
#2: 40-yard return
#3: 52-yard return touchdown
#4: 42-yard return

Brooks, a sophomore, spoke to the media after his breakout performance.
He didn’t record a catch in the game but return touchdowns are nothing new. Last season, he took one to the house from 66 yards out in K-State’s bowl game against Navy. Check it out at 1:52 below.
K-State came into the game ranked #20 in the nation and they handled business. They’ll travel up north to Morgantown to play West Virginia this coming Saturday at noon ET.
