Kaepernick Among Free Agent QBs on Madden 21

For the first time since 2016, gamers can play as Colin Kaepernick on Madden. Kap is among the free-agent quarterback in Madden 21, and he’s the highest-rated free-agent QB, per The Undefeated.

His last appearance before Madden 21 was in Madden 17. In between, there was some controversy over his name being removed from songs on the game’s soundtrack, but it turned out to be a rights issue. This time around, Kap was hands-on in the process after EA Sports approached him about being in the game once again. According to The Undefeated, he requested the afro and “a Black Power fist” as his touchdown celebration.

He has an 81 overall rating in Madden 21, seven points higher than his 74 rating in Madden 17.
