LISTEN: Earl Sweatshirt Drops “Some Rap Songs” Album
Earl Sweatshirt dropped a new album — “Some Rap Songs” — on Friday with features from Navy Blue, Standing on the Corner, and more.
Just a few weeks after the release of his single — “Nowhere2Go” — Earl Sweatshirt released the third studio album of his career — Some Rap Songs. The album, mostly produced by Sweatshirt himself, is a taut 25 minutes long despite a 15-song tracklist. Rather than standard procedure, the Odd Future alum has most songs ringing in under two minutes, a tactic I’ve never seen before.

According to PitchFork, the majority of Some Rap Songs “were written before the death of Earl’s father Keorapetse Kgositsile.” Despite that, Earl’s mother and father are both featured on “Playing Possum.” Check out the entire tracklist below:
