Look Inside James Madison’s New Basketball Arena
When James Madison welcomes Lancaster Bible College to town for their ’20-21 men’s basketball opener on November 25th, they’ll also be welcoming in a new era for the program. Not only will it be the first game under new head coach and Virginia native Mark Byington, but it will also be the first game at their new $139 million arena — the Atlantic Union Bank Center.
Ground was broken on their new digs in 2018 and completed in time for the upcoming season. The Atlantic Union Bank Center holds 8,500 fans, has its own parking lot, and comes complete with state-of-the-art technology throughout and premium seating. It’s a true beauty and will surely be a boon for recruiting once things normalize.
In addition to the main court, there’s also a practice court and strength & conditioning area, plus locker, film, and meeting rooms. Have a look inside below; Dukes’ home games are going to be an awesome experience from here on out.
