MGK’s “Rap Devil” Hits 200 Million YouTube Views
MGK’s diss track to Eminem — “Rap Devil” — recently hit 200 million views on YouTube.
Last year, Machine Gun Kelly (or MGK) had the biggest hit of his career with “Rap Devil,” a song that was extremely catchy and equally impressive because someone, finally, hit Eminem with a legitimate diss track. The song, which was a play on Eminem’s “Rap God” track, was influential enough that it drew a response from Slim Shady, titled “Killshot,” that, in my opinion, was far better lyrically. “Rap Devil” still has its defenders as the better of the two songs, though, likely because the hook is, like I mentioned, extremely catchy (“Let’s talk about it…”).
That said, over the last few days, MGK’s classic reached 200 million views on YouTube, an accomplishment that adds to the song’s grand chart performance upon release. If you’d like, you can add to that total (below).
“Killshot,” while released a few weeks after “Rap Devil,” has over 240 million views on YouTube, as of February 21st.
It should be noted that Eminem recently mocked MGK on stage in Australia, calling him a “cocksucker” after the crowd asked Em to play “Killshot.”
