MLB Teams Who Will Exceed Vegas Win Totals

The MLB season will really kick off tomorrow, so now is the time to get your final team win-total bets in for the season. It’s an investment and one of the most fun bets you can make in baseball. Here is the list of team win totals, though the four teams who played tonight (July 23) will be unavailable, and below are the teams I believe will win more than the posted total. In addition, I added some of my over and under leans.

San Diego, o31

The Padres roster has rounded into form over the last few years and they have four really dangerous bats in their lineup — Eric Hosmer, Manny Machado, Wil Myers, and Fernando Tatis Jr. On the bump, they have tons of upside. Chris Paddack is a monster, Garrett Richards can go, and Kirby Yates is coming off a season where he won the NL Saves crown and put up a 1.19 ERA. As far as the NL West goes, they’re behind the Dodgers but better than the rest, in my opinion. With expanded playoffs, look for them to crack the postseason and win 32–34 games.

Philadelphia, o31.5

With Joe Girardi at the helm, things have to get better in Philadelphia. You can be unsure about a lot of Major League managers but Girardi isn’t one of them; he’s a proven winner with a great mind. With this roster, I can’t wait to see what he does. They have talent galore but their window is closing — there’s some pressure on them to have a big year and I’m counting on that. 33 wins for the Phils.

Over Leans: Cincinnati o31.5, Chi Sox o31.5, Miami o24.5

Under Leans: Atlanta u34, Baltimore u21.5, Colorado u27.5, Kansas City u24.5

Let’s check back in a few months and see how these turned out. Fingers crossed.
