NBA All-Star Voting: John Wall, Bradley Beal in Top 10
In terms of NBA All-Star voting, both John Wall and Bradley Beal rank in the Top 10 among Eastern Conference guards.
Yahoo Sports published an article detailing some of the craziness surrounding the first round of NBA All-Star voting. Among the shocking names included in each conference’s Top 10 are Derrick Rose (No. 2 in Western Conference guards), Boogie Cousins (No. 10 in Western Conference frontcourt), Dwayne Wade (No. 2 in Eastern Conference guards), Jeremy Lin (No. 8 in Eastern Conference guards), and Vince Carter (No. 7 in Eastern Conference frontcourt).
Rose is the most deserving of the five players listed above but usually, guys who aren’t averaging 20 points per game don’t make the All-Star Game, let alone start. Dwyane Wade, who would also be a starter if voting ended now, isn’t even averaging 26 minutes per game while Lin isn’t even averaging 20 minutes or 11 points per game. Boogie, while a bona fide superstar talent, hasn’t played a game yet this season and Vince Carter barely plays for the Atlanta Hawks.
Now that the crazy stuff is out of the way, local fans should know that John Wall and Bradley Beal are also included in the lists released by Yahoo Sports. Ironically, however, both are behind Wade and Lin in the Eastern Conference guard Top 10 — Beal is at No. 9; Wall is at No. 10.
