CFB: Virginia Football in Great Position Over Next Month

The University of Virginia football program is in a great spot right now and in their upcoming games.

Thanks in large part to Arizona State transfer Bryce Perkins, the University of Virginia football program is in a great spot right now. Rather surprisingly, they’re 5-2 at the moment, complete with back-to-back ACC wins. One of them, it should be noted, was a monster upset over No. 16 Miami at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, VA. The other, their most recent, was a 28-14 win on the road at Duke.

Among teams in the ACC’s Coastal Division, the Cavaliers (5-2, 3-1 ACC) are in second place behind rival Virginia Tech.

Having said all that, the Wahoos are in an even greater position in the weeks leading up to their annual showdown against the Hokies. Their next three games are all at home against not-so-great competition — North Carolina (1-5), Pittsburgh (3-4), and first-year FBS program Liberty — followed by a road game at Georgia Tech (3-4).

If you’re a fan of the Virginia football program, that’s gotta have you PUMPED. I mean, it’s totally possible that they win all four of those games and head to Virginia Tech at 9-2. Then, if they beat the Hokies, maybe they play for the ACC title.
