Oakland Pulled Off a Nifty Fake Punt Against Detroit

After losing back-to-back games, the Oakland Raiders reached deep into their bag and pulled out a 31-24 win over Detroit in Week 9. Among their tricks was a sweet fake punt at a crucial point in the game. Up just three, the Raiders faced a 4th-and-3 and it appeared as if they were going to try to flip the field. Instead, Raiders safety Dallin Leavitt delivered a handoff to tight end Derek Carrier which went for a first down and more.

Carrier gained 27 yards on the fake.

Unfortunately, it was all for not as the Raiders missed a 45-yard field goal at the end of the drive. They wound up winning, though, so it can definitely be celebrated.
