Pittsburgh Pirates Honor Mac Miller With Moment of Silence

The Pittsburgh Pirates honored the late Mac Miller with a moment of silence before their win over the Kansas City Royals on Monday.

After spending a week on the road, the Pittsburgh Pirates finally returned home to PNC Park to play the Kansas City Royals. While the Pirates did win the game 7-6, the best part about the game was that they honored Mac Miller with a moment of silence before the game. Mac Miller passed away on September 7th in his Los Angeles home. His official death certificate says “deferred” but it’s still under investigation.

Great stuff, Pirates.

A day earlier, Pittsburgh Steelers (and former University of Pittsburgh) running back James Conner wore cleats honoring the Pittsburgh native. On the cleats, there was dueling pictures of Mac, as well as names of his songs and albums on the toe.

Additionally, Mac’s latest album, Swimming, jumped back into the Billboard Top 200 at No. 6 this week.
