Randy Arozarena Breaks HR Record, Scores Winning Run in Game 4
Tampa Bay has arguably the hottest player in baseball right now by the name of Randy Arozarena. The rookie has tossed the team on his back a few times already over the last few weeks and his performance in World Series Game 4 was equally epic. Arozarena hit his ninth home run of the 2020 MLB Postseason, doing so in the fourth inning off equally hot starter Julio Urias. The homer broke the record for homers in one postseason, passing Barry Bonds, Carlos Beltran and Nelson Cruz who all had eight.

At the time, the homer was only the second earned run Urias allowed in the postseason. He allowed another the following inning.
Arozarena went 3-for-4 in the game with said homer and three runs scored, including the game-winner on a WILD walk-off from previously anonymous journeyman Brett Phillips.
Tampa Bay trailed 7-6 entering the bottom of the ninth but got two runs after a pair of misplays on Phillips’ RBI single. Dodgers centerfielder Chris Taylor bobbled the ball in the outfield, then catcher Will Smith mishandled the throw allowing Arozarena to score the winning run. It was absolutely crazy. The series is now tied 2-2.
Game 5 will be on Saturday at 8:08 p.m. ET on FOX.
It should be noted that Justin Turner also set a few records for the Dodgers.
When he smacked a 2-0 pitch 420 feet over the fence in the first inning of Game 4, he became the first player to ever hit first-inning homers in consecutive World Series games, per ESPN. He also passed Duke Snider in the Dodgers’ record books for postseason home runs with 12.

All he’s done is hit in the World Series. Turner has hit safely in all four games, including Games 3 and 4 where he was a combined 6-for-10 with two homers and two doubles. For the series, the captain is hitting .444 (8-for-18).
