Ranking Every NFL Week 6 Matchup
The first five weeks of the NFL season have been as good as any year in recent memory; quarterback play is at an all-time high, unknown players have emerged as stars, there are still a few undefeated teams, and the new PI rule hasn’t destroyed the game. Now, we can only hope for more of the same heading into Week 6. Here, we’ll rank all 14 matchups based on storylines, talent, and watchability.
Ranking Every NFL Week 6 Matchup
#14: Atlanta at Arizona (Sunday, 4:05 P.M FOX)
Combined 2-8 record. Dan Quinn might get canned if they lose. And, just for the record, both teams need to go back to their old uniform kits.
#13: Washington at Miami (Sunday, 1:00 P.M FOX)
By 5pm ET on Sunday, only one of these teams will be winless. With that, and the Redskins’ head coach drama, this game stayed out of the #14 spot.
#12: Cincinnati at Baltimore (Sunday, 1:00 P.M CBS)
What happened to the Bengals that nearly knocked off Seattle in Seattle Week 1?
#11: Pittsburgh at LA Chargers (Sunday, 8:20 P.M NBC)
This primetime Sunday Night Football game looked a helluva lot better before the season started. If your fantasy matchups are already in hand and you don’t need SNF to make up for a shitty day of betting, you might be better off watching the new “Succession” episode live instead of on-demand (as I normally do).
#10: Tennessee at Denver (Sunday, 4:25 P.M CBS)
Both teams are better than what their record shows…but this could easily be 10-7 game either way.
#9: New Orleans at Jacksonville (Sunday, 1:00 P.M CBS)
Teddy Bridgewater & Gardner Minshew this year: 15 passing touchdowns, 2 interceptions. Before the season, no one thought either would be a factor.
#8: Dallas at NY Jets (Sunday, 4:25 P.M CBS)
Sam Darnold is back for New York and I think that means the game will be closer than most assume it will be.
#7: NY Giants at New England (Thursday, 8:20 P.M FOX/NFLN)
Brady in primetime is always fun, and seeing these two kits on the same field brings to mind Super Bowls of yesteryear. Can we let Eli Manning start on Thursday just for nostalgic reasons?
#6: Philadelphia at Minnesota (Sunday, 1:00 P.M FOX)
Two probable postseason teams that have had more struggles than they would have liked out of the gate.
#5: Carolina at Tampa Bay (Sunday, 9:30 A.M NFLN)
Don’t forget to adjust your fantasy teams early this week ’cause we’ve got 9:30 A.M football!!! Love when this happens…
#4: Seattle at Cleveland (Sunday, 1:00 P.M FOX)
Even though they’re 2-3, the Browns are still remarkably intriguing. Don’t be surprised if Baker Mayfield and company bounce back from a bad MNF loss.
#3: San Francisco at LA Rams (Sunday, 4:05 P.M FOX)
Niners are one of the best stories and TV products this year. Jared Goff needs a big win to quiet the noise.
#2: Houston at Kansas City (Sunday, 1:00 P.M CBS)
Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson are the two best young QBs in football. This year combined: 22 passing touchdowns, 1 interception.
#1: Detroit at Green Bay (Monday, 8:15 P.M ESPN)
One of the league’s best rivalries on Monday Night Football when both are playing great? A+ television.
BYES: Bears, Bills, Colts, Raiders
