Ranking Every NFL Week 8 Matchup

The first seven weeks of the NFL season have been as good as any year in recent memory; quarterback play is at an all-time high, unknown players have emerged as stars, there are still a few undefeated teams, and the new PI rule hasn’t destroyed the game. Now, we can only hope for more of the same heading into Week 8, although the 15-game slate is rather weak. Regardless, we’ll rank all the upcoming matchups based on storyline, talent, and watchability.

Ranking Every NFL Week 8 Matchup

#15: Miami at Pittsburgh (Monday, 8pm ESPN)

Poor ESPN. This might happen again…

#14: NY Jets at Jacksonville (Sunday, 1pm CBS)

Everyone thought the Jets were for real…then New England happened.

#13: Cincinnati at LA Rams (Sunday, 1pm CBS)

I don’t know who the Bengals would have to play to make it an exciting matchup.

#12: Seattle at Atlanta (Sunday, 1pm FOX)

Atlanta threw in the towel on their season.

#11: LA Chargers at Chicago (Sunday, 1pm FOX)

The Bears should get a quarterback so they can be real contenders. Cam?

#10: NY Giants at Detroit (Sunday, 1pm FOX)

Detroit has had bad luck this year. They’re going to take out their frustrations on New York.

#9: Arizona at New Orleans (Sunday, 1pm CBS)

Teddy Bridgewater has a better passer rating than Drew Brees this year.

#8: Tampa Bay at Tennessee (Sunday, 1pm FOX)

Anyone else rooting for Ryan Tannehill in Tennessee?

#7: Washington at Minnesota (Thursday, 8pm FOX/NFL)

Kirk Cousins is playing great lately and he’ll be facing his old team in primetime.

#6: Denver at Indianapolis (Sunday, 1pm CBS)

Joe Flacco has been a disappointment in Denver but I think they’re in line for an upset.

#5: Oakland at Houston (Sunday, 4pm CBS)

Surprisingly, the Raiders are a great TV watch. Houston coming off a tough L to Indy. This might be the game of the weekend.

#4: Philadelphia at Buffalo (Sunday, 1pm FOX)

A win against the Eagles will get people REALLY believing in Buffalo.

#3: Cleveland at New England (Sunday, 4pm CBS)

Can Cleveland pull a rabbit out of the head like 2010?

#2: Carolina at San Francisco (Sunday, 4pm FOX)

Panthers riding four-game winning streak. Niners on a six-game winning streak.

#1: Green Bay at Kansas City (Sunday, 8pm NBC)

A rematch of the first Super Bowl. No Mahomes but I’m sure Andy Reid is going to have some tricks up his sleeve.
