Ranking Every NFL Week 9 Matchup

The first eight weeks of the NFL season have been as good as any year in recent memory; quarterback play is at an all-time high, unknown players have emerged as stars, there are still a few undefeated teams, and the new PI rule hasn’t destroyed the game. Now, we can only hope for more of the same heading into Week 9. Here, we’ll rank all the 14 upcoming matchups based on storyline, talent, and watchability.

Ranking Every NFL Week 9 Matchup

#14: NY Jets at Miami (Sun, 1pm CBS)

The Dolphins are playing tough despite their lack of talent. Would like to see Fitz lead his new team to a win over his old team.

#13: Washington at Buffalo (Sun, 1pm FOX)

Rematch of Super Bowl XXVI, which reminds me…the Redskins used to be good.

#12: Indianapolis at Pittsburgh (Sun, 1pm CBS)

Even though they came back to beat Miami, I think it’s clear Mason Rudolph isn’t Pittsburgh’s future.

#11: Tennessee at Carolina (Sun, 1pm CBS)

The Ryan Tannehill Show rolls on in Carolina.

#10: Tampa Bay at Seattle (Sun, 4:05pm FOX)

Bucs are the Jekyll and Hyde of the NFL. I’m feeling a shootout in Seattle.

#9: Green Bay at LA Chargers (Sun, 4:25pm CBS)

This might be one of the biggest upsets of the weekend.

#8: Detroit at Oakland (Sun, 4:05pm FOX)

Two of the most surprisingly solid teams in the NFL.

#7: Cleveland at Denver (Sun, 4:25pm CBS)

No Joe Flacco. If Baker Mayfield doesn’t win this game the world might crash down around him.

#6: San Francisco at Arizona (Thur, 8:20pm FOX/NFLN)

Thursday Night Football has been shitty the last two weeks. Let’s hope this game puts an end to that trend.

#5: Houston vs Jacksonville (Sun, 930am NFLN)

Don’t forget to change your fantasy lineups early! This is an AM kickoff in London.

#4: Dallas at NY Giants (Mon, 8:15pm ESPN)

Dallas-New York on Monday Night Football is as classic as it gets. Can’t wait.

#3: Minnesota at Kansas City (Sun, 1pm FOX)

Mahomes is still doubtful but you never know. If Matt Moore starts, he will have trouble with Minnesota’s defense.

#2: Chicago at Philadelphia (Sun, 1pm FOX)

Oh man, the leash on Mitch Trubisky is getting shorter and shorter. This game could be the breaking point.

#1: New England at Baltimore (Sun, 8:20pm NBC)

These teams have had some legendary battles in the AFC Playoffs. Lamar Jackson‘s first game in the rivalry. Perfect SNF matchup.
