Ranking NFL Week 3 Matchups (Sunday/Monday)
The first two weeks of the NFL season was as good as any year in recent memory. There have been notable upsets, rookies emerging as stars, a lot of quarterback drama and much more. Now, we can only hope the momentum carries forward into Week 3. Here, we’ll rank all 15 matchups from Sunday/Monday based on storylines and watchability.
Ranking NFL Week 2 Matchups
#15: NY Jets at New England (Sunday, 1:00 P.M CBS)
The Pats are 22.5-point favorites for a reason. This game is over before halftime.
#14: Atlanta at Indianapolis (Sunday, 1:00 P.M CBS)
Neither team makes for scintillating television but both are trying to improve to 2-1 on the year.
#13: Houston at LA Chargers (Sunday, 4:25 P.M CBS)
(See above)
#12: Chicago at Washington (Monday, 8:15 P.M ESPN)
How many 3-and-outs can you have in 60 minutes? ESPN can’t be happy this is their Week 3 Monday Night Football game.
#11: Carolina at Arizona (Sunday, 4:05 P.M FOX)
No Cam Newton here. Kyle Allen was great in two games last year. If he looks good and wins, maybe they should stick with him moving forward.
#10: Cincinnati at Buffalo (Sunday, 1:00 P.M CBS)
First home game for the Bills this year. They’re 2-0 so expect the Bills Mafia to be extra wild.

#9: Oakland at Minnesota (Sunday, 1:00 P.M FOX)
Don’t sleep on Oakland. This might be Week 3’s biggest upset.
#8: NY Giants at Tampa Bay (Sunday, 4:05 P.M FOX)
Everyone will finally get their first look at Daniel Jones. Tampa Bay is well-rested and prepared, however, after playing TNF in Week 2.
#7: Detroit at Philadelphia (Sunday, 1:00 P.M FOX)
This one smells like a shootout. It could be the low-key game of the weekend.
#6: Pittsburgh at San Francisco (Sunday, 4:25 P.M CBS)
Welcome to the start of The Mason Rudolph Show.
#5: Miami at Dallas (Sunday, 1:00 P.M FOX)
Josh Rosen gets his first start as a Miami Dolphin. Call me crazy but that might light a fire under the team’s ass. I’d take the 23 points here.
#4: New Orleans at Seattle (Sunday, 4:25 P.M CBS)
Tough spot for Teddy Bridgewater; Seattle is one of the toughest environments in all of sports. Intrigued to see how he performs.
#3: Denver at Green Bay (Sunday, 1:00 P.M FOX)
Denver is the best of the 0-2 teams. Is Aaron Rodgers still elite? He’ll have a tough test; the Broncos D is legit.
#2: LA Rams at Cleveland (Sunday, 8:20 P.M NBC)
For as bad as the Monday Night Football matchup is, this Sunday Night Football pairing makes up for it.
#1: Baltimore at Kansas City (Sunday, 1:00 P.M CBS)
Lamar Jackson vs. Patrick Mahomes. The only start Jackson has lost in his NFL career was last season in KC.
