Ravens Snag Ashburn QB Trace McSorley in 6th Round
The Baltimore Ravens have their starting quarterback already with Lamar Jackson, as well as a solid backup in RG3, but that didn’t stop them from taking a flyer on another signal caller with a similar skill-set.
With the 197th pick in the NFL Draft, the Ravens drafted Penn State’s Trace McSorley, a decorated quarterback with a knack for winning who is also a native of Ashburn, VA.
Drafting a versatile QB who was an electrifying star in college? That's so @Ravens. 😏

McSorley led Briar Woods HS to several state titles on the football field and then continued his success in college. At Penn State, he led his team to a Big Ten title in 2016, a Fiesta Bowl victory in 2017, and an overall 31-9 record when starting.
Although a starter for only three seasons, McSorley holds several Penn State records at the quarterback position, including career passing touchdowns and total offense.
