Tebow Jump Pass by Derrick Henry Helps Titans Upset Ravens
The Tennessee Titans demolished the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens on Saturday, winning 28–12 to advance to the AFC Championship Game. The №6 seed, Tennessee relied on Derrick Henry offensively, handing him the rock 30-plus times for the third consecutive games. He finished with 195 rushing yards on 30 carries against Baltimore and has 588 yards on 96 carries in his last three games.
While passing wasn’t a huge part of the day, it set up their run game and provided the best highlights.
Ryan Tannehill, who’s now 9–3 as the Titans starting quarterback, was able to throw two beautiful touchdown passes in the first 16 minutes of the game to put them up 14–0 and set Henry up for the spotlight. Henry churned out 167 of his 195 rushing yards after they went up 14–0, adding a nifty passing touchdown as well. Just two plays after Henry darted down the field for a 66-yard run, he threw a classic Tim Tebow jump-pass to Corey Davis for a touchdown from three yards out, putting Tennessee up 21-6 over Baltimore.

Henry, it should be noted, completed two passes on three attempts during the 2018 regular season for 14 yards. Also, Urban Meyer, Tebow’s coach at Florida during his main jump-pass years, saw Derrick Henry‘s play and chimed in on Twitter.
Ryan Tannehill finished with just seven completions in the game for 88 yards. He did have three total touchdowns, though, adding a one-yard rushing score to his two first-half touchdown passes. In the Titans’ two playoff games, he’s only had to attempt 29 passes, completing 15 for 160 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception.
Never forget, Skip Bayless has predicted both upset wins by the Titans. They were a double-digit underdog against Baltimore and five-point dogs against New England. Moving forward, they’ll play the winner of Houston/Kansas City.
