The XFL Should Definitely Pull the Trigger on Chad Johnson

Last year, the AAF fell flat despite being on national television every weekend. This year, the XFL will try (again) to become viable, complete with a lot of the same players who made up AAF rosters. For casual football fans, neither league has or had a guy to bring people to a television set. There are ex-NFL players and former college stars, sure, but no household names with giant fanbases. I say that to say this: news has come out that the XFL is giving a tryout to popular NFL legend Chad Johnson, formerly Chad Ochocinco, and they should pull the trigger and make it happen.
The opportunity to kick in the XFL has presented itself, i must tryout Monday in Houston, I’m excited as hell & I’m sure all will go well 🙏🏿

I know Chad Johnson would make me watch, and I’m sure I’m not alone. Plus, it’s not like he’s going to be out there looking slower than a bunch of hungry twentysomethings; no, Johnson is getting a tryout as a kicker this time around.
The former Cincinnati Bengal and New England Patriots star has posted videos in the past of him kicking and he claims to be “good from 60 & 70 yards,” so it’s definitely an intriguing idea.
A six-time Pro Bowler, Johnson ranks in the Top 40 all-time in receptions (766) and receiving yards (11,059).
