Tim Beckham, Adam Jones Continue Raging With New Teams

Last season, Tim Beckham and Adam Jones were fixtures in the Baltimore Orioles lineup. Neither was particularly amazing in 2018, however, and when the official O’s rebuild began this offseason, the franchise allowed them both to sign with new teams in free agency. No hard feelings.

Since leaving, though, both Beckham and Jones have played amazingly for their new teams. It’s like they’ve been completely reborn.

With Seattle, Beckham has exploded out of the gate through 10 games, hitting safely 16 times in 39 at-bats and capturing AL Player of the Week honors. Plus, nine of his 16 hits have been for extra-bases — four home runs and five doubles. Jones’ numbers are nearly as impressive; in eight games, he’s gone 14-for-36 with four home runs and just five strikeouts.
