Top 10 College Football Matchups For Week 7
Week 7 is the final week without Big Ten football. The conference is starting in Week 8, and the Pac-12 is right behind them in Week 10. Nevertheless, there are still plenty of solid games this week, including the No. 2 and No. 3 teams facing off. Here are the 10 best matchups for Week 7, plus a few honorable mentions.
Top 10 Week 7 College Football Matchups
10) #14 BYU at Houston, 930pm ESPN (Fri.)
Zero losses between these two squads.
9) Pitt at #13 Miami, 12pm ACC Network
An old-school Big East football game that features a very good Pitt team that was ranked earlier this year against probably the second-best ACC squad.
8) Coastal Carolina vs. #21 Louisiana, 730pm (Wed.)
Two of the top-three teams from the Sun Belt get a showcase on Wednesday night. Like BYU-Houston, there isn’t a loss between the two programs this year.
7) UCF at Memphis, 330pm ABC
Two top-30 teams from the American.
6) Kentucky at #18 Tennessee, 12pm SEC Network
Two overlooked SEC teams that’d be top-tier in other Power-5 leagues.
5) #17 SMU at Tulane, 6pm ESPN (Fri.)
Undefeated SMU (4-0) faces its first big road test.
4) #11 Texas A&M at Mississippi St., 4pm SEC Network
Both of these teams have pulled off Top 10 upsets this year. Excited to see if Leach and co. can bounce back from a stinker against Kentucky.
3) Ole Miss at Arkansas, 330pm ESPN2
Lane Kiffin’s first game as the favorite since taking over at Ole Miss. This is gonna be SOOO fun to watch. Tons of points. Over/under currently at 77.
2) LSU at Florida, 4pm ESPN
LSU obviously isn’t the team everyone expected but it’s still two iconic programs facing off.
1) #3 Georgia at #2 Alabama, 8pm CBS
Obviously the biggest game of the weekend. Bama a six-point favorite at home.
Honorable mentions:
Marshall at La. Tech, 6pm CBS Sports Network
A little Conference USA love here. Marshall is the conference’s best team, La. Tech is 3-1 and undefeated in conference play (2-0).
#5 North Carolina at Florida State, 730pm ABC
The Tar Heels are for real. The Noles aren’t. Still, it’ll be something to see Mack Brown and Sam Howell go into Tallahassee and snag a W.
Louisville at #4 Notre Dame, 230pm NBC
The Irish are undefeated and looking legit. Louisville has some spunk despite their 1-3 record.
