Senior Devin Ortiz and freshman Kyle Teel hit back-to-back jacks in the top of the second inning to put Virginia up 2-1 over rival Virginia Tech. The Cavaliers went on to win 6-1 and take the series off Tech.

Teel (7) and Ortiz (6) are the top two home run hitters for UVA.

Virginia trounced the Hokies 18-1 on Friday night in Game 1 before falling just shy in Game 2. The Wahoos threatened late on Saturday night and had the tying run at the plate in the eighth and ninth innings but ultimately fell short by a 6-3 final score. For the three-game set, the Hoos outscored Tech 27-8.

Virginia is now 22-20 overall and 13-17 in conference play. They have two ACC series remaining, one against Wake Forest and one against Boston College.
