James Madison, William & Mary Basketball Dominate CAA Postseason Awards
James Madison and William & Mary were well represented when the CAA revealed their 2020-21 postseason awards. In fact, they pretty much dominated. JMU’s Matt Lewis, the league’s leading scorer, won CAA Player of the Year honors, while first-year Dukes’ head coach Mark Byington won CAA Coach of the Year honors after their worst-to-first season. As for the Tribe, star freshman Connor Kochera headlined their honorees by taking home the CAA Rookie of the Year trophy.

Lewis also made first-team all-conference, while his teammate Vado Morse was a third-team pick. William & Mary’s Luke Loewe was a second-team all-conference pick. Loewe and teammate Mehkel Harvey were also chosen for the CAA All-Defensive Team, while Kochera and James Madison freshman Justin Amadi were CAA All-Rookie Team selections.
