Old Dominion Football Alum Zach Pascal Catches TD in Wild Card Thriller

Old Dominion alum and Colts wide receiver Zach Pascal caught a touchdown pass for Indianapolis in the Colts thrilling Wild Card game against Buffalo on Saturday. Pascal, who started all but two games for the Colts this season and finished with 44 catches and five touchdowns, hauled in a nine-yard touchdown pass from Philip Rivers in the fourth quarter to make it a one-score game.

Buffalo, however, went on to win 27-24, knocking down a hail mary attempt from Rivers as time expired.

Pascal caught three passes for 37 yards in the game. The touchdown was the first postseason TD of his three-year NFL career.

While at Old Dominion, Pascal helped the Monarchs to their first-ever bowl game. ODU beat Eastern Michigan 24-20 in the 2016 Bahamas Bowl, giving them their first and only bowl victory in the program’s FBS history. For his career, Pascal caught 193 balls for 2,664 yards and 24 touchdowns.

On another ODU football note, Taylor Heinicke will start for the Washington Football Team vs. Tampa Bay on Saturday night.
