UVA Basketball Alum Kyle Guy Has NBA Career-High in Kings Loss
After only playing in three games during his rookie season, Kyle Guy‘s NBA career has progressed quite a bit in 2021. He’s actually played some meaningful minutes in a few Kings’ victories and had some memorable moments during the preseason. On Sunday he hit another checkpoint with his best game as a pro, finishing with a career-high nine points in just nine minutes.
Guy entered the game late in the third quarter with the Kings down 22 to Milwaukee and immediately made an impact. He hit his first three field goals, including a deep three-ball, and played the bulk of the fourth quarter. Altogether, the Kings were +11 when Guy was on the floor on Sunday. Milwaukee wound up winning 128-115.

Guy, the 2019 Final Four Most Outstanding Player, finished 4-of-5 from the floor and may have earned himself a bit more playing time moving forward.
On the season, he’s averaging 3.2 points in 8.1 minutes per game.
