Virginia Baseball 2021 MLB Draft Recap
The tally is now up to 90 draft picks for Brian O’Connor after six Wahoos were taken in the 2021 MLB Draft. Had the draft been under normal circumstances — aka 40 rounds instead of 20 — the number would at least be up to 92, as captain Logan Michaels and pitcher Kyle Whitten signed free-agent deals right after the draft.
During the epic run to the College World Series, fans saw the camaraderie between members of the 2021 team. After each selection and signing, the same closeness was on display via social media. Pretty much every UVA team member acknowledged each pick on Instagram, and Big Donkey was keeping Twitter on fire with his commentary.
