VMI Hoops Star Greg Parham Earns SoCon Player of the Week Honors (Again)
For the second consecutive week, VMI senior Greg Parham is the SoCon Player of the Week. Parham earned the honor for the week of January 13-19 after averaging 27.7 points in three games, then continued his sizzling play last week (January 20-26) with a 24-point performance in VMI’s upset win over Furman and 26 against Mercer over the weekend. Over his last six games, he’s averaging 26.3 points, 4 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.

This season, Parham is averaging 19.8 points per game for the 8-8 Keydets. In his previous three years with VMI, he averaged just 6.6 points per game with no single season in double-digits.
VMI is 3-4 in conference play this season. Their most recent win was over No. 76 Furman, the first KenPom Top 100 win by VMI since 2008.
They’ll be back in action on Wednesday at home against Western Carolina. Western Carolina-VMI will broadcast nationally on ESPN+ at 7:00 p.m.
