Wherever Mamadi Diakite Goes, Titles Are Won
Let’s face it, y’all…wherever Mamadi goes, trophies and rings and championships and all that follow right behind him. A lot of people get tagged as “proven winners” but Mamadi Diakite is head-to-toe legitimate. High school? Did it. College? You definitely know about that one. G-League? Oh yeah, won there too. And now NBA? You can find him holding the Larry O’Brien trophy right below this sentence.

Four stops, four titles (plus a ton of individual accolades to go along with the hardware).
He’s meant different things at each stop, of course. In high school and with Lakeland, he was the guy; during Virginia’s title run, he was the perfect ingredient to a lineup jammed with draft picks; his latest championship didn’t require as much on-court time, but his presence around the organization was clearly valued. The Bucks signed upped his two-way contract to a regular deal after he’d played just 11 games.
In the playoffs, Diakite scored seven points across 35 minutes, primarily in mop-up duty.
Congrats to @_mdiakite and @jahstce !!! #gohoos #hoosinthenba

Former Virginia player Justice Bartley is also enjoying NBA Championship glory. Bartley, who was a teammate of Diakites for multiple seasons, is a player development & video assistant with Milwaukee.
